There are many Fairs, Festivals, and Exhibitions across the Algarve during the year. The Better Living in Portugal commonly known as BliP, is held in the month of October.

The Blip exhibition was founded by Afpop an association for foreign residents, the event was first founded in 2000 with the aim of bringing people together to share their products and services. Now some 14 years later the exhibition is still bringing people together with the event becoming a favourite one to return to each year.

The yearly exhibition combines both exhibition and Fair feel to the event, it is ideal for both Tourist and those living in Portugal. The event is  free admission with many Exhibitors offering great prize draws, from cases of wine to Cruises that can be won and all for free. Stands offering financial advice, healthcare planning, you can even be pampered by a relaxing massage, there is normally a live radio station playing live on air that adds atmosphere to the event. There are stands that offer you a wide range of Portuguese products, with the new Shopping area within the main arena.  

You will find much information if you are thinking of moving to Portugal from legal advice, estate agents, removal companies, and financial planning. Take a look at the many new cars on offer and arrange a test drive. If you are thinking of moving to Portugal then it may well be worth looking into the possibility of joining the AFPOP association, as not only do you get access to legal advice but it offers discounts on service and product across Portugal with its built in discount scheme as well as a monthly newsletter.

 There is a children’s area that is supervised, letting you have some time to wander around on your own, there is a bar serving all sorts of beverages including light lunches, the arena has many seating areas where you can sit and take the exhibition in from a greater height to see if you missed any of the stands.

It is doubtful that you will come away from the exhibition empty handed as many stand offer you free gifts to remember them by.

2013 saw a much larger event
