There are Many markets for you to visit all over Central Portugal, most villages will have a daily fixed market within a market building ,but each will host a monthly market ,people gather from all over with there many products of their region, some can be from 15 stalls on the cobbled back streets to the largest which can be well over a 100 stalls,  larger markets will even BBQ pork for  breakfast meals to chicken for an early lunch cooked over traditional charcoal stoves,

They range from cloths linen,shoes, leather goods, to Fresh fruit/vegetables, regional cheeses, Hams and cured meats to the traditional dried cod know as Bacalhau, a must to buy is the regional honey, they even sell it in different varieties ,orange honey, is where the Bee’s have only used pollen from the orange blossom and it has a slight hint in the flavor of the honey,

some will even have plants and livestock
